It's funny how the people who always go on and on about how "money isn't important in life" are the same people who want to take money from the wealthy and give it to the lower-end of society.

Hmm, maybe that means money matters after all :) They just don't want to admit it.

Rich people are responsible for almost every good thing that happens in a given society (the charities, employment, building buildings, etc) - so when you take away their incentive to operate within an economy, they move to another one more accomodating.

Add "The Rise and Fall of the Great Powers" to your Amazon wishlist. It talks about how all the great societies in history were toppled... and it was always their economies, never war or some outside enemy.<div class="comment-remix-meta"><a href="#" class="replyto" onclick="replyto('165','Greg Thompson'); return false;">Reply</a> - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('165','Greg Thompson','It\'s funny how the people who always go on and on about how \"money isn\'t important in life\" are the same people who want to take money from the wealthy and give it to the lower-end of society.\r\n\r\nHmm, maybe that means money matters after all :) They just don\'t want to admit it.\r\n\r\nRich people are responsible for almost every good thing that happens in a given society (the charities, employment, building buildings, etc) - so when you take away their incentive to operate within an economy, they move to another one more accomodating.\r\n\r\nAdd \"The Rise and Fall of the Great Powers\" to your Amazon wishlist.
